West Bengal Assembly Election 2021 Phase 6 Voting Live News Updates: Sporadic incidents of violence were reported from various parts of the sixth phase of the West Bengal Assembly elections on Thursday and by 2 pm, 57.30 per cent voters had exercised their franchise. However, overall voting is going on peacefully. By 2 p.m., 57.30 percent of voters had exercised their franchise, an Election Commission official said.
In the sixth round of West Bengal, polling for 43 seats started at 7 am. Of these, 17 seats are in North 24 Parganas while nine seats are in Nadia and North Dinajpur districts. Voting is underway on eight seats in East Burdwan in this phase. Long queues of voters are being seen at polling stations and security personnel are being asked to abide by the rules to avoid infection in view of the increasing cases of Kovid-1.
