The Government of India is preparing to sell its stake in Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL). Meanwhile, BPCL has joined hands with SBI Card. SBI Card and BPCL jointly announced the issuance of ‘BPCL SBI Card Octane’. Under this, maximum savings are offered to customers who spend large sums in fuel purchases.
Credit cards are designed to save more money for customers who spend more on fuel. BPCL-SBI Card Octane will get 25X Reward Points at BPCL Fuel and MAC Lubricants, Bharat Gas (LPG) Expenses (on website and application only) and BPCL’s ‘In and Out’ convenience stores, SBI Card said in a statement. .
Under the card, BPCL’s petrol pump stations will get 7.25 per cent price refund on fuel and lubricants (including one per cent surcharge exemption) and 6.25 per cent value rebate on expenses on Bharat Gas, the statement said. Provision has also been made in the range of regular expenses including departmental stores and grocery stores.
According to the company, cardholders can avail discounts at more than 17,000 BPCL petrol pumps across the country. In the case of fuel there is no transaction minimum limit. This will allow consumers to save on fuel purchases every time. Let us know that in November last year, the Union Cabinet approved the sale of 52.98 per cent of the government’s entire stake in BPCL.
