The government of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa state has decided to turn the ancestral properties of Bollywood veterans Dilip Kumar and Raj Kapoor into a museum. Both the actors have connections with Kisa Khuwani Bazaar in Peshawar, a city in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The ancestral homes of both are in this area. Known as the ‘King Khan’ of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan is associated with this field. Shah Rukh Khan’s father Taj Muhammad Khan’s father was born here in the Shahwali Katal area. Taj Muhammad Khan was a lawyer and pro-Congress activist who came to India after the partition in 1947.
Shah Rukh Khan has also visited his father’s birthplace Peshawar in 1978 and 1980. He was very young at the time and lived where his father was born. Her cousins still live there. Now if we talk about Raj Kapoor, his father Prithviraj Kapoor was born here. His father’s name was Diwan Bareshwanath Kapoor, who was a civil servant in Lialpur district.
