Prithvi Shaw’s experiment fails big time, fighting for the zero hitter

Ind vs Aus 1st Test Live: Prithvi Shaw’s experiment failed when the first out of shape player was eliminated in the first over of the India vs Australia Pink Ball test in Adelaide. Shaw was preferred over the likes of Shubman Gill and KL Rahul, but the southpaw from Mumbai failed yet.

Many legends included Sunil Gavaskar and Allan Border had advised the Indian team management to eliminate Shaw from the team, but Virat Kohli decided to give Shaw a long rope. Shaw has faced a good deal of criticism from the greats for playing too many shots in Test cricket.

But Virat Kohli still decided to support him. The decision has already begun to prove costly for India.

On Wednesday, skipper Kohli spoke at a press conference where he talked about Prithvi Shaw and said: “Prithvi performed at the test level but would be playing in Australia for the first time. I think it’s very exciting to see his progress too ”.

The team chose to enter with six batters in formation. Wriddhiman Saha received the nod as the wicket keeper for the first try. There has been speculation as to who will play the first Test as a wicket-keeper after Rishabh Pant scored a century in the second inning of the pink ball practice game.

The team led by Virat Kohli chose to enter with three seamers and a spinner in the first Test. Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami and Umesh Yadav are the three pacers while Ravichandran Ashwin was chosen as the lone spinner.

The first Test of the series, a pink ball competition, will start on December 17th in Adelaide. Australia had won the ODI series while the Men in Blue had won honors in the T20I series
