Xiaomi Mi QLED 4K TV specifications
This is a 55-inch 4K resolution QLED or Quantum LED TV. QLED relies on tiny nanoparticles of various sizes to light up. Xiaomi claims that the QLED colors are purer and the TV supports 100% of the NTSC color space. It also comes with Xiaomi’s Vivid Picture Engine, which is the company’s tuning algorithm. Xiaomi had introduced it to the 65-inch 4K TV it launched last year.
The panel has a resolution of 840×2160 pixels and includes support for all major HDR formats; this includes Dolby Vision, HLG, HDR 10+ and HDR 10. It also comes with “Reality Flow” or MeMC (Motion Estimation and Motion Compensation) which ensures a smoother frame rate and is especially useful for watching sports. Users can, however, disable MeMC according to their preferences. There are a total of 14 picture modes on the TV with customized settings.
The Mi QLED TV 4K has a total audio output of 30W with a six driver design. The TV has four full-range woofers and two tweeters to handle higher frequencies. The TV has a sound range from 60z to 200khz, according to Xiaomi. The company claims it can support a deeper base and higher frequency, and the TV has a better speaker cavity, which has a volume of around a liter.
The Mi QLED TV 4K comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It also has Bluetooth 5.0 LE. There are three HDMI 2.1 ports. It also works with Android TV 10 with Xiaomi’s Patchwall operating system. Users have the option of using Xiaomi’s user interface or staying with the native Android TV interface.
Some features of Patchwall OS are “Universal Search”, where you can search for content in all apps. A user can simply search for a title and it will be displayed immediately. Patchwall OS will also show clock recommendations based on user preferences. It also supports Live and Live TV channels.
The TV also has a built-in Chromecast, so you can stream content from your phones to the device. Xiaomi claims that the data saver feature on Android TV will be released as an OTA update later. The TV is also equipped with an Auto Low Latency (ALLM) mode in which Mi TV will automatically activate the game mode to provide the best gaming experience.
It also includes support for the latest AV1 codec for the video format, which is a new video compression format that ensures high quality video in a compressed format. The Mi QLED TV 4K has a 96 percent screen-to-body ratio. There is no metal or bezel in front of the TV and it’s all panel on the front. Xiaomi claims that all QLED TVs are made in India.
