New Shows Imli and Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein Win Top 5 Place; Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah slips from the TRP rankings

This year saw debut shows join the list of the most viewed shows on television. Anupamaa, played by Rupali Ganguly and Sudhanshu Pandey, is at the top again. After its launch, the show made it to the TRP charts and hasn’t left its number one slot in weeks now.

Anupamaa is followed by Kundali Bhagya. Daily soap is getting even better with Karan (Dheeraj Dhoopar) and Preeta (Shraddha Arya) getting closer. Currently, the show’s plot revolves around Preeta and Karan’s honeymoon, which will be foiled by Mahira (Swati Kapoor).

In third place is Imli, which premiered last month. It tells the story of a village girl who is forced to marry a journalist due to unforeseen circumstances. She goes into town with him only to realize he is already married. The plot twists make for an interesting watch.

Yet another new show that has made its way into audiences’ hearts is Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein. The show stars Ayesha Singh, Neil Bhatt and Aishwarya Sharma and is a remake of the Bengali show, Kusum Dola. It premiered in October and is doing pretty well.

Last but not least is Kumkum Bhagya. The show is back in the top 5. It is also one of the most loved shows on television as it is not only the chemistry of Abhi (Shabir Ahluwalia) and Pragya (Sriti Jha) adored by the audience now, but also Prachi (Mugdha Chaphekar) and Ranbir (Krishna Kaul).

There are other shows like Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Indian Idol, and Choti Sardarni that have dropped off the charts. Look:
