Merry Christmas: Sachin Tendulkar, Cristiano Ronaldo and other sports stars extend their Christmas greetings

Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar spoke on Twitter on Friday, wishing everyone a “Merry Christmas”. “Merry Christmas everyone! Christmas has always been synonymous with being together and giving. Let’s make it special for the people around us, even in the smallest of ways. Good luck,” wrote Sachin Tendulkar in his tweet. The tweet also included a video, which showed the 47-year-old dressed in a Santa Claus costume. Other sports stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Novak Djokovic have also turned to social media to spread the Christmas cheer.

“We wish you a Merry Christmas !! Full of love, health and happiness”, reads the player’s tweet.

Ronaldo’s tweet also included an image showing him and his family sitting around a Christmas tree.

“#MerryChristmas to all who celebrate! #NoleFam,” Djokovic tweeted.

Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma and Ricky Ponting have also extended their wishes to their fans for Christmas.


“I wish you and your family a year full of happiness, satisfaction and good success. Stay healthy and safe in 2021 .. Merry Christmas to everyone #MerryChristmas”, reads Raina’s tweet.

“Merry Christmas everyone and happy holidays! Miss you my girls @ritssajdeh,” said Rohit.

Ricky Ponting wished everyone a “Merry Christmas”. He also said how lucky he felt to be with his parents and other family members on that special day.

“Merry Christmas everyone. I feel very blessed to be with my parents and family and to be able to share this special day together,” Ponting said in a tweet, which included a photo of him sitting with his family.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Christmas is quietly celebrated around the world.
