Hombale Films, creators of the KGF franchise and upcoming star of Prabhas Salaar, announced their new project Bagheera with actor Sriimurali in the lead on Thursday. The creators made the announcement on the star’s birthday.
KGF director Prashanth Neel, who is the author of this project, wrote on his Twitter page: “@SRIMURALIII as #Bagheera wrote a valuable story, for my first real Mass Hero. I wish #Sriimurali a Happy Birthday. @VKiragandur @DrSuri_dir @hombalefilms (sic). “
Sriimurali is best known for his work in Kannada films such as Ugramm and Mufti. His latest release was Bharaate. Interestingly, Ugramm was Prashanth Neel’s directorial debut and Bagheera will mark his reunion with Sriimurali.
Bagheera will be directed by Suri. The producers have yet to reveal the rest of the cast and crew. Looking at the poster and the stars on the Sriimurali character poster, it’s safe to assume that he plays a policeman in the film.

Following the pan-Indian success of KGF, Hombale Films focuses on making projects that can be released nationwide. Their next production company, Salaar, will also be released in multiple languages.
Salaar, which will be voiced and distributed in Hindi, will be presented by Anil Thadani. The project is expected to go to plan after Prashanth concludes KGF: Chapter 2, with Yash in the lead.
