- Kolkata lost despite Russell’s tumultuous innings
- … This was very disappointing after going out
On Friday, Andre Russell fired heavily at the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bowlers. Russell scored 54 off 22 balls. Russell hit 6 sixes and 3 fours in his innings. Despite this innings, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) lost by 18 runs.
In fact, Russell was caught on his web by Sam Curran. Russell realized that the crane would keep the ball on the field at the first stump. Which is why Russell decided to shoot accordingly. But the crane leg fell on the stump line and it became bold. Russell was disappointed after being out and he sat quietly on the dressing room stairs and watched the match. They also removed helmets, pads and gloves.

Let us know that KKRA invited CSK to bat first at Wankhede Stadium. CSK scored 220/3 thanks to superb innings from Faf du Plessis (95 not out) and Itu Turaj Gaekwad (64). In response, KKR were bowled out for 202 in 19.1 overs.
At one point, KKRA lost their five wickets for just 31 runs. In the end, Pat Cummins played an unbeaten 66 (34 balls) for KKR, which proved to be insufficient. Deepak Chahar from CSK took maximum four wickets.
This is the third consecutive defeat of Kolkata Knight Riders. KKR’s next match will be against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Saturday. The match will be played at Wankhede Stadium only.
