Customers of Postal Department (India Post) and Postal Payment Bank of India (IPPB) will now be able to avail banking services through the application ‘PostPay’. Communications and Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad launched the application on Tuesday. DakPay will provide digital finance and banking services provided by India Post and IPPB through a postal network across the country.
It became easier to send money and pay bills
Postpay will help with many services such as sending money, scanning QR codes for services and making digital payments at stores. Apart from this it will also provide interoperable banking services to customers with any bank in the country. Launching the application, Prasad said that Dakpaya will enrich the heritage of Bharat Post, which will reach all the families in the country today.

He said, “It is an innovative service that not only provides access to banking services and postal products, but it is also a special concept in which anyone can place an order and get postal financial services at their doorstep.” Pradeepta Kumar Bisoi, secretary and chairman of the IPPB board, said PostPay offers a simple payment solution. Through this, customers can access all banking and payment products and services through the application or with the help of a postman.
