Huawei had recently launched two new smartphones at a conference, namely Nova 8 and Nova 8 Pro. However, it appears that the company has held back from unveiling a special edition of the device, which features the theme of the popular mobile game Honor of Kings.
According to a recent Weibo post by blogger @ 看 山 的 叔叔, a Chinese microblogging site, the company will soon launch a limited edition variant of the Huawei Nova 8 Pro Honor of Kings. For the uninitiated, Honor of Kings is an online multiplayer video game title for smartphones. It is an online battle arena developed by TiMi Studios and published by Tencent Games for both iOS and Android platforms. At the moment, the game is one of the most popular titles in the world, especially in China.

Hence, it’s no surprise that China’s largest smartphone brand has launched a special edition based on the game. Although this news is not yet confirmed, for now take the report with a grain of salt. The Chinese tech giant is known for launching special editions of its popular smartphones, so we might see an Honor of Kings variant as well.
While the aesthetics and design of the Nova 8 Pro Honor of Kings version may be unique, its specs are likely to be the same. This includes the HiSilicon Kirin 985 5G mobile processor, a 6.72-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and more. Additionally, the device should come with optimizations to run the game at 90 fps. Unfortunately, the price and availability of the device are still unknown, so stay tuned for more updates.
