Government jobs: If vacancies are added in all the departments of UP, this figure will reach around five lakh and these posts are to be filled only in the next few months.

Three lakh jobs so far
The Yogi government claims that more than 3 lakh jobs have been provided in the state so far. The government has recruited 1,37,253 posts in the police department and 54,706 in the basic education department, according to a press release issued by the government. Similarly, 8556 jobs and 28622 jobs of Group B, C and D have been provided under the National Health Mission in the Department of Medical Health and Family Welfare. In addition, 16708 by UP Subordinate Services Selection Commission and 26103 by UP Public Service Commission
Similarly, 14000 appointments have been made in state and aided schools by the Department of Secondary Education and 4615 appointments have been made in universities and colleges by the Department of Higher Education. There are 1112 appointments in Medical Education Department, 700 in Urban Development Department, 726 in Cooperative Department, 614 in Finance Department, 365 in Technical Education Department, 365 in Vocational Education Department and 6446 in Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation (Energy Department). There are 69000 in the basic education department, 16629 in the police department and 853 in the Uttar Pradesh power corporation (state department).

Total 5 lakh vacancies
A state government spokesperson was quoted as saying that the state has more than 12.64 lakh state employees, out of which about 3.25 lakh posts are vacant. 1500 vacancies of clerical cadre are being declared vacant in the schools of the aided council. At the same time, there are about 32000 posts of teachers in the aided schools and 6000 posts in the state schools under the Department of Secondary Education. This does not include vacancies for 10,768 teachers in government schools. Similarly there are about 8000 vacancies in the higher education department including aided and state colleges. In this case, about 1.70 lakh vacancies are added in all schools and colleges, then the total number of vacancies will exceed 5 lakh.
