Get free games and add-ons from Ubisoft and Epic throughout the week

My favorite part of the holidays is knowing that some game developers and distribution services will stop at nothing to get my attention. I’m fine with the resultant marketing flood, because it usually means I can he spends about 15 minutes a day, for about a week, collecting a nest egg of free games, addons and other time-sensitive goodies.

I already do this about once a week on the Epic Games Store e Amazon’s first game, so it’s really not that hard to keep up with the more frenetic pace during the holidays. Free is free, after all. And if you want to join me on my adventures, it couldn’t be easier.

First, you will want visit Ubisoft Connect right now. Every single day, from yesterday (oops) until Saturday, December. 19, Ubisoft is distributing something for free or another. The company hasn’t specified exactly what you’ll be rewarded with each day, but the digital gifts will go to the in-game goodies (like theAssassin’s Creed Valhalla Reward package“) Full titles and free. Don’t hold your breath for AAA games to make it your digital sock but, to reiterateand, free is free. I never say no to a free game, because you never know when you might be inspired to play something new in your vast library.

Today, for example, Ubisoft offers a free copy of Starlink: Battle for Atlas. I’ve always wanted to check the file title came out, but it wasn’t quite sold on it enough to buy it (or any physical accessory for it). Now that it’s free, I’ll definitely be investing some time over the next few weeks. I hope Slippery can keep it together.

After that, you’ll want to set a daily calendar reminder for Epic games. I’ve already talked about it the awesome RPGs you need to get for free right now, intentional emphasis, but this is only the tip of the iceberg free. As of dec. 17, Epic will be giving away a free game every day for two weeks. That’s all. There is no catch; you just need a (free) Epic Games Account. After adding the free games in your library, they are yours forever.

Now it is important to adapt your expectations. No, you will not receive a copy of Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, or any other $ 60 game just released. You will have some older titles, some meh headlines and some cool headlines, but don’t expect to make out like a bandit. Last year’s titles included:

  • Little Hell
  • Heavenly
  • Totally accurate battle simulator
  • FTL: faster than light
  • Talos principle
  • Hello neighbor
  • Superhot

These are all good games, don’t get me wrong. They just aren’t, of, Immortals Fenyx Rising. ISEven if you don’t feel like playing right now, check back every day to add the free games to your library. You never know when you might need to scratch the itch for a particular title.

I haven’t heard of any other gaming services that work on a daily basis giveaways, but if anyone else starts feeling generous, I’ll update this article with the details. Otherwise, keep checking regular sources for free stuff and you’ll have a lot to celebrate (e hold back amused) during Quarantine Holiday 2020.
