Free vaccine for Covid warriors in Odisha

(MENAFN – IANS) p> Bhubaneswar, Dec. 17 (IANS) The Odisha government said Thursday that the Covid-19 vaccine will be provided free of charge to healthcare workers and other frontline workers in the state.

“In the first phase, the doctors, health workers who are our Corona warriors and the elderly will be given the Covid-19 vaccine free of charge. In the second phase, we asked the Center to vaccinate municipalities, electricity, clean water and other public facilities. . health workers in the state, “Health Minister Nabakishore Das said.

Das said the vaccination campaign is likely to start in January next year.

“The central government has plans to vaccinate nearly 30 million people during the first phase of vaccination. We are working according to central government guidelines,” the minister said.

He said the government is ready to distribute and administer the vaccine to its warriors as a matter of priority.

The Center has published a detailed guideline for the Covid-19 vaccination campaign.

About 3.2 lakh people will be vaccinated in the first phase in Odisha after the launch of the Covid-19 vaccine in the country. 29,276 centers in the state were identified for vaccination.
