Play was stopped after 17 overs in the first innings of the Perth Scorchers’ inning with them at 6-158 in Launceston against the Melbourne Stars.
The Stars won the bat flip and pitched first in Launceston, and the Scorchers were 1-14 in the third when Josh Inglis was captured for 7.
The Scorchers then recovered well with Colin Munro and Joe Clarke leaving to take them up 1-63 after 7 overs.
Clarke was then caught behind for a 34 shot with 16 balls. Mitchell Marsh went lbw for a golden duck and Liam Hatcher had two wickets in his first two balls.
After 11 over the stars used the X factor to bring Ben Dunk to Tom O’Connell.
Ashton Turner then started singing to them and the Scorchers were 3-130 after 12 overs.
Turner was fired soon after, caught behind Nic Maddinson.
Maddinson struck again when Colin Munro was captured for 49 in 15th place and the Scorchers were 5-142. Aaron Hardie followed soon after and the Scorchers were 6-153 in 17th place, before play was stopped due to rain.
