BSNL launches Rs 199 charging plan with 2 GB of daily data: here’s what Jio, Airtel, Vi offer

BSNL has launched a new Rs 199 prepaid top-up plan. The telecom giant offers 2GB of data daily with this basic plan. It also includes unlimited benefits for voice calling over any network. Please note that you will only receive 250 minutes per day and 100 SMS on a daily basis. This charging plan will remain valid for 30 days.

BSNL’s new Rs 199 plan replaces the existing PV 186 prepaid plan, which offers 2GB of daily data, unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day with a validity period of 28 days. It still offers the PV 186 plan, but this plan will not be available to all BSNL customers from January 1, 2021. BSNL’s latest charging plan will be available in all telecommunication circles. Since BSNL launched the plan at Christmas, it will be active starting December 24, 2020, as per TelecomTalk.

BSNL Rs 199 vs Jio Rs 249 prepaid top-up plan

Comparatively, Reliance Jio offers a Rs 249 plan, which is the company’s cheapest 2GB daily data plan. This means you’re getting a total of 56GB of data for 28 days. Once the data is exhausted, the speed drops to 64Kbps. In addition to 2GB of daily data, you also get unlimited voice calls from Jio to Jio and 1,000 minutes on non-Jio networks. The plan also includes 100 SMS per day. Customers also have access to the Jio apps.

BSNL Rs 199 vs Airtel Rs 298 prepaid top-up plan

Airtel’s cheapest 2GB daily data plan is Rs 298. It comes with a validity period of 28 days. You also get truly unlimited calls, 100 SMS per day, Airtel Xstream Premium subscription and free access to Hellotunes. Airtel also offers a free subscription to Wynk Music and users have the option to download as many songs as they want. The plan also includes Rs 100 cashback on FASTag.

BSNL Rs 199 vs Vi prepaid top-up plan

For 199, Vi (Vodafone) only offers 1GB of data per day. It also includes truly unlimited local / national calls to all networks, 100SMS per day. The package comes with a validity period of 24 days. You also have access to Vi Movies and TV. Vodafone also has 2GB daily data plans and the cheapest is Rs 595 for 56 days. It offers a 1 year ZEE5 Premium subscription, 2GB of data per day, unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day. The plan also supports weekend roll-over data.
