Caught up against Saif Ali Khan, badly caught making a statement on ‘Adipurush’

Mumbai. The film ‘Adipurush’ directed by Om Raut is in the news these days. A lawyer in UP’s Jaunpur district has filed a suit against film actor Saif Ali Khan and director Om Raut in the CJM V court in charge, based on a controversial statement made by Saif. The lawsuit, filed on behalf of civil court advocate Himanshu Srivastava, accused him of insulting religious sentiments. The court has fixed December 23 for hearing on it.

In fact, Civil Court Advocate Himanshu Srivastava has filed the application through Advocate Upendra Vikram Singh, the case has been registered under Section 156 (3). The petition said that on December 6, Saif had justified Sitahar in an interview by saying that Lakshman had bitten Sharpanakha’s nose, in return for which Ravana had killed Sita.

He said that Saif Ali’s interview hurts the faith of Sanatan Dharma. Sanatan Dharma is being misused. This has hurt their religious feelings. The plaintiff has sought registration of a case against the accused. If done in Adipur, this is the next film of Southern superstar Prabhas, in which Saif Ali Khan is going to play the role of Lankesh. Along with this, Prabhas will be in the role of Ram. In a recent interview to a newspaper, Saif said about his role that director Om is trying to show the human side of Ravana in the film. Adipurush is set to release on August 11, 2022.
