The stock market closed at a record level on Wednesday due to overall buying. The Sensex gained 403.29 points to close at 46,666.46 and the Nifty closed at 13,682.70, up 114.85 points. This is the highest level of both indices in terms of closing. HDFC, HDFC Bank, TCS, Infosys and Bharti Airtel were the major shareholders in the Sensex. The total market cap of companies listed on the BSE also rose to Rs. 185.11 lakh crore.
However, the Sensex touched 46,704.97 and the Nifty touched 13,692.35 during trading. This is the highest level of both indices. Today, the market was more bullish on metal and realty stocks. The Nifty Realty Index %% and the Metal Index closed up 1.7979%. Apart from this, auto toe and pharma stocks also saw good gains.
Shares of Burger King opened higher on the BSE today at the start of the upper circuit and finally closed close to Rs 200. In addition, shares of Jet Airways also closed at Rs 100 after the upper circuit. Shares of Punjab National Bank fell 6.54% to close at Rs 37.90. Indeed, the bank has set a floor price of Rs 37,000 for QIP of Rs 7,000 crore. Its impact was also seen in the stock today.
Shares of IRCTC fell 1.15% to close at Rs 1,424 on the BSE. It has dropped 11% in the past week. The stock had lost 2.70% to close at Rs 1,439 on December 9. The main reason behind the decline in stocks is that the government sells its stake through stake for sale (OFS). After SF, the government’s stake in the company will fall from 87.4% to 67.4%.
Hindalco and Bharti Airtel rose 2-2% in the Nifty. HDFC and Davis Lab stocks also rose 2-2%. At the same time, shares of ICICI Bank and shares of IndusInd Bank closed up 1-1%. Apart from this, shares of Ultratech Cement, Gail and NTPC also closed. The Sensex opened 310.14 points higher at 46,573.31 and the Nifty opened 95.25 points higher at 13,663.10 this morning.

Asian markets are bullish
The impact of the rally in US markets is also being felt in Asian markets today. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index rose 254 points to close at 26,461. Japan’s Nikkei index closed at 26,757 with 69 points. At the same time, China’s Shanghai Composite Index, which has been trading steadily all day, ended flat at 366. Was closed.
The market remained sluggish on Tuesday
The Sensex gained 9.71 points to close at 46,263.17 and the Nifty closed up 9.70 points at 13,567.85. The Nifty Auto Toe and Metal Indicators also closed higher. The top gainers in the Nifty index on Tuesday were financial stocks. Shares of Bajaj Finance gained 5% in the Nifty index. Shares of Bajaj Finserv also rose 4%. On the other hand, shares of Nestle India and HUL have fallen by more than 2-2% due to the decline in the FMCG sector.
European markets are bullish
Bought in the European market yesterday. Germany’s DX index also closed 139 points higher at 13,362. However, France’s CAC index closed flat at 5,530. But Britain’s FTSE index is down 18 points at 6,513.
U.S. Market boom
The Covid-19 relief package in the US may be unveiled soon. Yesterday, US Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said an agreement would be reached as soon as the agreement is reached. This led to a rally in US markets on Tuesday. The Dow Jones index rose 1.13% to 33,199, up 337 points. The S&P 500 index also closed at 3,694, up 47 points.
