Several creators have started posting their AirPods Max reviews, here’s a rundown of the latest.

Marques Brownlee says Apple’s AirPods Max fall squarely in the category of headphones for luxury listening compared to a pair of studio headphones you might be using for production and reference. Despite that, note that a truly unique set of boxes pop up in the headphone world that makes them stand out from the crowd. It also says they sound “really, really good” and have excellent noise cancellation. They are a bit heavy, however, and Brownlee also noted that the smart case they ship with is “pretty dumb”.

Max Tech

Max Tech notes that while they knew Apple’s AirPods Max wouldn’t sound bad at $ 549, they were surprised at how good the separation of music and instruments across individual drivers would be, and how wide the soundstage would be.

The AirPods Max are surprisingly beautiful, designed to a glittering standard, far more comfortable than most of the competitors, and innovative in both practical and geeky ways. The sound is wonderfully strong and muscular, smooth, dignified and deep. My only quibble is that the bass is so massive it’s a little too much for me.

Apple released its AirPods Max headphones on December 8, and many are already shipping to customers. Despite many raised eyebrows on the $ 549 price tag, most stores show shipping times of up to three months for the headphones. Unfortunately for some Canadian customers, an ongoing exchange of UPS means that some customers have had their shipments returned to Apple marked as “hazardous materials”.
