A new leak reveals the display specs of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, Z Flip 3 and Z Flip Lite

Just as the world is celebrating Christmas today, DSCC whistleblower Ross Young gave us leaks regarding Samsung’s 2021 leaflets. According to him, the third generation Galaxy Z Fold will have a smaller display than the predecessor, but the Z Flip 3 will get slightly larger.

Just him He says(via GSMArena) the Galaxy Z Fold 3 main display (internal display) will become smaller than 7.59 inches on the Z Fold2. As a result, Samsung will go ahead with a 7.55-inch main display and will also reduce the coverage display to 6.21-inches. He adds that the resolution of the main display would be around 2208 × 1768 pixels with a 5: 4 aspect ratio and 375 PPI.

Previously, the Galaxy Z Fold2 announced in August has a 6.23-inch Cover display. Ross says a smaller size on the front serves to accommodate the S-Pen within the frame. If we recall, a previous patent indicated that Samsung would finally introduce the stylus on foldable devices.

With this, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be the first foldable with a UTG display to use a stylus. If you remember, Lenovo already has a similar device with Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold stylus support but it uses a CPI screen. To dust yourself off quickly, CPI (Colorless Polyimide) is a plastic film but UTG (Ultra-Thin Glass) is stronger. Either way, the Z Fold 3 is likely to have an improved UTG display with AES digitizer support and an under-display camera.

That said, Ross also opens up the possibility of a folding “W22” which he believes would be like a Z Fold3 Ultra and will be limited in quantity. Subsequently, we also have leaks on the upcoming clamshell devices. Both Z Flip3 and Z Flip Lite will have a larger 6.70-inch display. This is 0.03 inches more than the predecessor. Also, the lid display is 1.81 inches on the Z Flip 3 so far.

Among them, the Z Flip 3 will be equipped with an LTPO display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. That’s all for now and we’ll have to wait for more details in the future. In any case, Samsung is expected to launch 4 foldable devices next year in different price ranges.
